NEWS RELEASE FROM THE
BOARD OF EDUCATION
SEPTEMBER 20, 2018  SPECIAL AND REGULAR MEETINGS
FOR THE SKYLINE STAFF AND PATRONS

The Skyline Board of Education met in special session Monday, September 10, 2018 at Pratt Community College.  The meeting was an informational meeting with Dr. Calvert, President of Pratt Community College, Board of Trustees, staff members and USD #438 Board of Education Members and Administrators. Becca Flowers and Dr. Calvert provided updates on their facilities.

The Skyline Board of Education met in regular session Monday, September 10, 2018. Routine business included approval of minutes, payment of bills, Treasurer’s Report, and the SCKSEC minutes.

Becca Flowers gave the Superintendent’s report. Her report included: an enrollment report and an update on KESA/Redesign.  Principals Diane House and Herb McPherson also gave updates on their building activity.

Old Business included:  facility/vehicle project updates, custodial assignments and a presentation from Sara Lewton on Social Emotional Learning.

The Board approved the following contracts: Kristina Kasselman and Robin Lewis, Bus Drivers; Manda Bricker, Freshman Class Co-Sponsor; Cyndi Jones, Custodian and Kristi Nelson, Lego League Sponsor.

The Board will meet next on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.
